About Me
Hello and welcome to The Christian Life! I'm so glad you took the time to visit. So that you know who I am and where I come from, here is my story.
My name is Brenda and I am the oldest of 5 children. We were raised catholic. I was baptized and confirmed into the church. Church was boring and I only attended out of obligation so I did not experience a change in my life.
I was not living a godly life. I have battled with drug, alcohol and nicotine abuse.
At the age of 23, I married my husband. He was baptist. We attended a Baptist church for about two years. Then, we became non-denominational. My mother and sister converted to non-denominational and we followed suit.
My husband and I were not living a godly life. We were addicts. We drank, a lot. We were basically heathens. We have two kids. They are adults now. We did not get along. During our 27 years of marriage, we have been separated over 5 times. In the year 2000, I got an apartment and moved out with the kids. We were separated for 6 months. I filed for divorce. The papers were signed and being processed. My husband had to go to the emergency room and the kids and I stayed with him that weekend to care for him and we got back together. We moved back in and continued to have problems. About a month later, I dropped down to the floor on my knees and committed my life to Jesus. I knew I could go no longer without him. I was at the point of no return.
